Well, it’s official: the first day of spring is a mere two weeks away. Thrilling news, certainly, but it’s also slightly alarming: 14 days just isn’t enough time to practice and perfect all of spring 2016’s beauty trends. Here’s the spring 2016 beauty trend you should be trying this season, according to your horoscope:
Bright and bold blue eyeliner: Aries, Leo, and Gemini
Bright blue eyeliner and shadow are back in action, whether we’re ready for it or not. The look popped up everywhere on the spring/summer 2016 runways, including at Chanel, Nanette Lepore, Monique Lhuillier, and Missoni (pictured). Electric blue eyeliner is certainly not a look everyone could pull off, so it might be best left to trailblazing Aries and spotlight-seeking Leos. Geminis will love the look because it makes for a great conversation piece, and we all know how much the Twins love to talk.
Gothic lips: Scorpio, Cancer, and Aquarius
Sorry, pastel-lovers, but the lip look is dark and moody this spring. Models at Anna Sui (pictured) wore shades of burgundy, while Miu Miu went for merlot-stained lips with a dot of deep purple in the center. Sexy Scorpio, mysterious Cancer, and creative Aquarius—this is the subversive spring look you’ve been waiting for.
Super dewy skin: Sagittarius, Pisces, and Capricorn
Dewy skin is almost always in, but the spring 2016 runways took it to the next level. At Marc Jacobs (pictured), the beauty look was inspired by East Village partygoers, said makeup artist Francois Nars. While hardworking Capricorns may not be prone to partying, they do see the beauty in a “less is more” approach to makeup—and what could be more “less” than moisturized skin and a little highlighter? Dreamy Pisces is attracted to anything that reminds them of water, and happy-go-lucky Sagittarius will love that the look takes less than five minutes to achieve.
Updated French manicure: Taurus, Libra, and Virgo
Yes, you read that right. The French manicure renaissance is upon us. But be warned: these are not your grandmother’s classic white tips. The spring 2016 French manicures are all about playing with color, like the pretty blues seen at Tibi (above) and the jet blacks at Cushnie et Ochs. This is a trend that romantic Taurus, classic Libra, and clean-line-loving Virgo will want to embrace.
