How can we improve the nose shape?
There are two ways of producing a shapely nose – non-surgical and surgical.
Non-Surgical Technique – Uses filler injection is used to sculpt your nose using the technique called Structured Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty.
Surgical rhinoplasty- There are two different types of surgical procedures. Silicone implant or composite rhinoplasty. A silicone implant is a simpler procedure where the implant of the desired size and shape is inserted into the nose to create the desired shape.
Composite rhinoplasty is more complex but satisfying – it uses both the implant and the cartilage. Cartilage is harvested from the ear, and it is shaped and placed in the tip of the nose. A silicone implant is used to create the bridge.
There are two different types of surgical approaches – external or internal. External leaves scar, but internal does not. Internal is always preferred for this reason. The external approach (Transcollumella incision) makes a cut in the column of the skin between the nostrils. They do heal well, but they will leave a scar.
The internal approach (Endonasal incision) makes a cut inside the nostril. So there is no visible scar. An internal approach is always preferable.
Does it only work for Asians?
No. This technique can be applied to all races. It is a technique of producing a more aesthetically pleasing nose that is balanced and in proportion to your face.
How long does it last?
Radiesse is known to last about 18-24 months, which has been verified by many clinical studies. In the nose, it is slightly different. It does tend to last 9 months on average, but there are individual variations. We also find that subsequent injections tend to last longer due to the “bio stimulating effect” of radiesse on the nose.
Is it painful?
