Carolina Herrera's Water Droplet Lashes Are A Magical Beauty Trend

If you’re a beauty junkie, you know that New York Fashion Week is a goldmine of new beauty looks and products. There are always those WTF looks that no one could ever wear unless their life is an Italian Vogue editorial, but there are plenty of wearable ones too. The Carolina Herrera fashion show had a gorgeous, unique beauty look that you could get away with in real life. And it is perfect for the snowy winter days we’re still experiencing.

Models lips were painted with a rich matte raspberry lip color, but the real statement was the eyes. Instead of the usual black mascara, makeup artist Diane Kendal applied fake lashes that had eye-catching silicone beads that were dusted with silver to look like water droplets. According to Vogue, the idea behind the makeup look was to make it look like the models had just come out of water. (Just ignore the raspberry lip and focus on the sheeny skin, lots of highlighting, and water droplet lashes).

Instead of water droplets, the lashes remind me more of little snowflakes. It’s the sort of makeup look that I would imagine Elsa from Frozen wearing, but with her signature thick braid, instead of the slicked hair.

Most of us aren’t going to be bothered recreating little water droplets/snowflakes with silicone beads, but you could easily copy the look with a silver liquid liner. Just dot it on parts of your lash line, and you’ll have shimmering ice princess lashes.
