Ultimate DIY Glamping Checklist – What to Pack When You Go Glamping

The key to any successful trip is planning. The Boy Scouts were on to something with their motto, Be Prepared. We bring you the Ultimate Checklist for your Glamping trip. Simply print this out and check, check, and triple check before you go to ensure you have everything you need for the most glamorous camping trip ever!

GLAMPING GEAR:

  • Tent (preferably solar powered)
  • Poles & Pegs
  • Tarp
  • Rope, zip ties & duct tape
  • Hammer/Mallet & an Axe
  • Rug for tent floor
  • Hand-held broom/dustpan
  • Doormat for tent
  • Scented LED Candles
  • Tent fan/heater (depends on the season)
  • Tent organizers (shelves, collapsible storage bins, etc.)
  • Air mattress or cot
  • Air pump
  • Sleeping bags and liners, down-filled quilts & pillows
  • Lanterns
  • Citronella candles, mosquito stakes/coils, portable bug zapper & insect repellent
  • Extra batteries
  • Scissors, knife/campers tool, hand axe
  • Firewood & fire starting sticks, newspaper
  • BBQ lighters & matches
  • Portable glamping furniture (chairs, recliners, table, hammock, etc.)
  • Outdoor area rug
  • Jumper cables and a good spare tire (we are serious as a heart attack about this one… been there, done that!)

COOKING:

  • Propane stove & BBQ, and extra propane bottles
  • Coolers (one for food, and at least one for your beverages, obviously!)

  • Pots & pans, utensils – cooking & eating
  • Water carrier
  • Dishes – plates, cups & bowls
  • Tablecloth, napkins & paper towels
  • Coffee maker/coffee pot & filters
  • Kettle
  • Bio-degradable dish soap, washtub, pot scrubbers, and dish rags
  • Can opener
  • Garbage bags, ziplock bags & food storage containers
  • Spatula,Tongs & Skewers
  • Potholder/oven mitts
  • Insulated cups, unbreakable beer mugs, and wine glasses
  • Corkscrew & bottle opener
  • Cocktail shaker and strainer
  • Several cutting knives & cutting board
  • Hot dog/marshmallow roasting forks

PERSONAL:

  • Clothes (bring warm clothes, think layers)
  • Hand-held mirror

  • First aid kit (Gravol, Advil, liquid bandage, After-bite, Aloe Vera gel, antihistamine, rubbing alcohol)
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste & mouthwash
  • Beach towels, bath towels & face cloths

  • Biodegradable toilet paper & baby wipes
  • Toilet seat covers
  • Hand sanitizer
